AYTT
(Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training)
AYTT (Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training) is the first of its kind that offers an integrative approach to Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program. This unique program combines both the fundamental principles of Yoga and Ayurveda as well as evidence-based science. Yoga Teachers will be able to customise yoga classes based on student’s body type. Teachers will also be able to advise simple Ayurvedic nutrition suggestions for students. The teachings are based on classical texts (Patanjali Yoga Sutra) and authentic Ayurvedic texts. The AYTT comprises 70% of authentic classical yoga based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra and 30% of Ayurvedic principles based on classical Ayurvedic texts.
Both Ayurveda and Yoga are written in Sanskrit and sadly these sciences have been misunderstood or misrepresented due to the limiting expressions of the English Language. This has led to the commercialised yoga where the focus of yoga is on postures (asana) while classical yoga states that the main purpose of learning these techniques (postures, breathing, cleansing, etc) is to manage the mind thereby getting you in touch with your True Inner Self. Even though the therapeutic aspects derived from yogasanas and pranayama are side benefits that work on the physical, mental and emotional levels, the ultimate aim of yoga is to show you your true Self by exercising your inner intelligence.

According to Ayurveda and Yoga, taking care of your Mind is as good as taking care of your life since there is intimate and inseparable connection between Mind and Body. Given that Mental Health is becoming a global issue, learning authentic classical Yoga has become the need of the day. Our Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT) program adopts an all rounded approach where the primary focus is to enable you to be grounded and well balanced in all aspects of your life. Ayurvedic concept of body types such as Vata, Pitta and Kapha will also be discussed and you will learn how to design simple postures and pranayama for specific body types. You will also learn some simple recipes and herbs based on Ayurvedic principles.
In this AYTT program, apart from learning the basics of yoga postures, breathing and so on, the emphasis is on understanding and managing the mind from an Ayurvedic and Yogic perspective.
Objective
The AYTT Course systematically integrates the fundamental principles of both yogic and Ayurvedic philosophies, the various aspects of Yoga-Asanas (postures), Pranayama (vital breath mastery), a deeper understanding of Mind (manas). Our AYTT enables the participant to understand and impart the knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda in its truest sense. Students will also have an overview of Ayurveda and learn the basic principles of Pancha Mahabhuta (5 Great States) and the 3 Functional Principles known as Vata Pitta and Kapha. Students will learn these Ayurvedic concepts and how to corelate these principles with Yoga and how to customize Yoga classes for different body types.
Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT) is a unique Certificate program specially designed by Innergy Ayurveda & Yoga in collaboration with M. S. Ramaiah Indic Centre for Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (MSR ICAIM) (Bangalore, India) and Ayurveda Association of Singapore (AAOS) (links to AAOS home page)

NOTE: the AYTT program is NOT aligned with Yoga Alliance as our program is based on classical approach, not commercialised approach.
