The primary emphasis of Ayurveda is prevention of disease and promotion of health and the bulk of this science revolves around diet and lifestyle. Our body tissues wear and tear daily and it is important to replenish them with the right type of nourishment that supports overall health which includes both body and mind.

According to Ayurveda we are what we eat. Whatever we “put into” our body includes food, water, breath, emotions and information through our sensory perception. All these inputs will have an impact on our body-mind complex. If there is an imbalance in any of the input, then it can lead to the manifestation of disease.

Ayurveda considers health to be a state of perfect balance between your individual body type (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in relation to your digestion, body tissues and waste as well as your lifestyle, seasons and balance of your mind.
